The Renewables segment is responsible for the production, purchase, and sale of ethanol and its co-products, in addition to providing facility operations, risk management, and marketing services related to ethanol and its coproducts to the ethanol facilities that the company invests in and manages. Furthermore, the Plant Nutrient segment is engaged in the manufacturing, distribution, and retail of agricultural and related plant nutrients, which includes corncob-based products and pelleted lime and gypsum. The segment also offers crop nutrients, crop protection chemicals, and seed products while providing agronomic and application services for both commercial and family farmers. Moreover, it extends its capabilities to include warehousing, packaging, and manufacturing services tailored for nutrient producers and other distributors. In addition to its agricultural focus, the company manufactures and distributes various industrial products, including nitrogen reagents used in air pollution control systems for coal-fired power plants, along with water treatment and dust abatement products.
